Personal Recipe for Revival II Chronicles 7:14

What it takes to make a great church # 9. If we want our church to become a great church it will require a personal revival in our lives.  In this scripture we can find a recipe for revival.

I. Humble Ourselves — V. 14      James 4:10

A. We need to keep ourselves humble before the Lord — ” Pride goeth before destruction ”

B. In God’s economy it’s not how high we can elevate, it’s how low we can get

C. Humble Christians will assist in making a great church

II. Honest Prayer — V. 14

A. Words of Samuel– ” God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you ”

B. We should pray till the answer comes —  ” Pray without ceasing ”

III. He Wants Us To Seek Him — V. 14 ” Seek my Face ”

” Presence ” is a common Hebrew translation for “face”. Literally we are to seek to be in his presence. To be seeking his face is to seek to be in his presence.

A. We should always seek the Lord

IV. Have To Turn From Our Sin — V. 14

A. Leave behind the life of wickedness

B. Let the Lord change our sinful hearts & lives

Then God will do his part — 1) Hear From Heaven  2) Forgive Our Sin  3) Heal Our Land
